Berks Country Fest is proud to announce its partnership with the local non-profit organization, Reading Musical Foundation (RMF) as the two entities team up to spread musical cheer in the community.
The mission of the Reading Musical Foundation is to promote and facilitate music education and appreciation in order to preserve and develop musical experience and culture within the Berks County Community. RMF provides organizational and financial support for activities and events that lead to the education and development of both artists and audiences.
This partnership enables Berks Country Fest & Reading Musical Foundation to collaborate in providing unique programs during the 17-day Berks Country Fest in June. Our first program introduced in 2016, the two entities teamed up to develop an educational Guitar Workshop for both youth and adults during the Fest that will once again return in 2017. The Guitar Workshop included five instructional sessions from industry professionals in the rock, celtic, classical, and worship song genres.
UKES IN THE CLASSROOM:

Announced to all Berks County schools, the Ukes in the Classroom grant is to assist with the funding of purchasing ukuleles for the school’s music program. Owatin Creek Elementary School in Exeter was the recipient of the 2017 grant, and were presented the brand new Kala ukuleles on Friday, May 5th. Meadowood Music will also donate lessons and training to Owatin Creek teachers on how to take care of the instruments.
