Join Steven Gearhart, Adjunct Professor of Music at Arcadia University, for this session. Steven will focus on Mozart as a sacred music composer. Mozart’s Mass in C, K.66 – the Domenicus Messe will be the central piece of music sung throughout the workshop.
A native of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, conductor and composer Steven Gearhart received a master of music degree from the Yale School of Music in choral conducting in 2007. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on music history and composition. His is an adjunct professor of music at Arcadia University where he is the director of three choral ensembles. Mr. Gearhart has also worked with various organizations including Opera Philadelphia, Boston Lyric Opera, The Crossing, Singing City Children’s Choir, Chorus Pro Musica, Boston, the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia University Choir. In addition to his musical work, Mr. Gearhart is a small business finance and administration consultant. He is currently Managing Director of Calvin Investment Group, and COO of ChocAmo, LLC.
